Gravity Review – Will to Triumph

Rating:

Gravity is spellbinding, mind-blowing, bold, and exhilarating. This dramatic science fiction thriller is set in space. As kids, we have wondered what space exactly is like. Yet except astronauts none has seen it. Gravity takes us on a journey into space. In three-dimension, we get a chance to feel what space is like.

Both medical engineer, Dr Ryan Stone (Sandra Bullock) and astronaut, Matt Kowalski (George Clooney) get stranded in space due to a mishap. All communication with Earth has been lost, and they are left on their own. The viewer can see the magnificent Earth in the background of many scenes. Gravity is a portrait of the human spirit which will not give up fighting for survival even when the odds are stacked heavily against it.

It is much too easy to succumb to harsh circumstances. However, it takes a lot of gumption to fight against adversity. Gripping to the core, every shot is captivating and will leave the viewer in awe. We know that the movie is not shot in space and yet even for a moment we do not get that feeling. It is so very realistic that it captures your imagination.

All the minute details are well attended to by director Alfonso CuarĂ³n. The technical aspects are also well highlighted throughout the movie. The music effectively enhances the impact of the visuals. Even though there are only two actors, namely, Sandra Bullock and George Clooney in the entire movie, they keep the viewer engrossed by their accomplished performances. Sandra Bullock is fabulous as edgy Dr Ryan Stone and George Clooney is impressive as calm and composed Matt.

The two protagonists are shown to have different personalities. Yet working in tandem they try to find a way out of the conundrum that they happen to find themselves in. The movie is a must watch for viewers of all ages. It shows the fighting spirit of a human being against the pitch dark space. The endless void of space and in the backdrop the captivating view of Earth engage the viewer through the movie. Gravity surely leaves an impression on the mind.

get over the suspense. The description of space as pitch dark and an endless void with the backdrop of
the captivating view of the earth is vivid and the scene presents itself before your eyes. Really scary for two lost loners to be stranded in such landscape ( spacescape)
with no contact with the earth! An imaginative theme.
